High-Density Cartridge Heaters
Our High-Density Cartridge Heater can be considered a “Component Heater” that is used to heat many different applications. Primarily used in molds, dies & sealing bars, this Cartridge Heating Element fits snugly inside a cavity and helps heat solids by reaching high temperatures. High-Density Cartridge Heater has the versatility of being able to carry a thermocouple inside to help control the temperatures of the heater more accurately. Various diameters allow for the Cartridge Heating Element to be used in any cavity and can be custom-designed with any cold section. Lead wires extend from the end to your controls.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right watt density?
The hotter the process and the looser the fit in the hole, the lower the watt density should be. Share your operating temperature and hole size and we will recommend a safe rating. Our guide How to choose the right cartridge heater explains this in detail.
Why do cartridge heaters fail early?
The most common causes are a loose fit in the hole, too high a watt density, moisture or oil entering the lead end, and lead wires flexing in moving tools. Read 7 common causes of cartridge heater failure or tell us how your old heater failed.
Can you match my existing heater?
Yes. Send a photo or drawing with diameter, length, wattage and voltage, or send the old heater, and we will manufacture an equivalent.
